USA Travel diary

Impressions of America… A travellers note book without words…just some water colours to mark the paper with moments of this one-month long journey, full of extremes… A suffocating and humid New York, amazing and out of proportion and yet so human… Then, 48 hours in Las Vegas, during which time one must forget the MEANING of things…A city surounded by desert, adults who play and children who don’t have the right to, a searing heat that retains us indoors, one forgets that outside there is daylight… Is it for real or is it false Mum? I don’t know. Then, it is the great escape to the National Parks: Magical Grand canyon…difficult for the eyes to capture so much immensity, nuances of colours which change each minute. Majestic Lake Powell and its submerged canyons, fragile Bryce Canyon, veritable stone lace work, the interminable rocky barrier of Capitol Reef, elegant windows of the Arches… Finally, the last stage of the voyage, one week in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This Colorado which we have followed for over 2000 Km, we can at last bathe in it…Colorado sometimes green with its pine covered landscapes, sometimes rust red like Mars…
