I’ve wanted for a very long time to «paint China», the China that I now visit regularly and which continues to surprise me upon each trip. This series of paintings represents moments of everyday life, street scenes, lively public parks, rows of temples. The loudly colored atmospheres contrasting with dark grays and mist, its lively and vibrant people, its energy and its space enlivened by the omnipresent red lanterns which allude to the spirit of festivities.
